Meet Our Team
Front Office Staff
Angela started working at Porter Pet Hospital in April 2008 and is originally from Toledo, Ohio. She moved to California 3 years ago with her husband. She loves animals (especially cats), gardening, traveling, going to the beach, learning new languages (the most recent being Hebrew), trying new foods (especially Korean), and cooking. In Ohio she ran a kitten orphanage out of her apartment and found loving homes for all except a brother and sister whom she kept. Kissman and Mouse are now 3 years old and living with Angela.
Katie is one of the newest additions to our team. She is bright, cheerful, and always looking for a challenge.
Vanessa is the Front Office Manager of Porter Pet Hospital. Since joining the team, she has acquired 7 new pets (3 pugs & 4 kitties)! Vanessa is a graduate from the University of Arizona with a degree in communications and a double minor in business and sociology. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, going out with friends, and spending time with her husband and their furry family.
Technical Staff
Francisco recently passed the test to be a Registered Veterinary Technician. He worked at Porter Pet Hospital in 2000 before going valuable experience at a specialty practice in L.A. But he couldn't stay away. Francisco is an experienced technician and graphic artist. In his spare time, he works at his parent's graphic design company and spends time with his girls: his wife and baby daughter.
Heather comes to us with nearly 18 years of veterinary experience. She is knowledgeable, friendly, energetic, and enjoys playing with all kinds of animals. She spends her free time going to the gym, hanging out with family and friends, and playing with her bird.
While quiet, Tomas
has a great attitude and is always willing to lend a hand when needed.
He speaks mostly Spanish but is studying English in night school. He
enjoys listening to music, playing soccer, and participating in his church.
Grooming & Kennel Staff
Elizabeth is studying in the RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) program at Pierce College. She first came to Porter as a volunteer in 2007 but found she liked it so much, she couldn't leave! She is active in her church choir and very close with her family.
Marco is a CSUN student and a bit of a computer wizard. He is always eager to help with a smile on his face.
Teresa has been with Porter Pet Hospital longer than any other staff member. She just celebrated her 12th anniversary with the hospital. She has been professionally trained in grooming and styling pets' hair. Teresa spends her spare time with her family and volunteering at her church.
Manager
Natalie has literally grown up at Porter Pet Hospital. Working on and off at Porter since 1997, Natalie has worked in every position except as the doctor. She came with a B.A. from UCSB in Political Science and a background in Human Resources. She spends much of her spare time playing with her boyfriend and their "baby," Lily.
